Illumivation Studios Strengthens Capabilities With New Talent and Regional Expansion

Illumivation Studios, a nationwide supplier of custom large-scale experiential marketing props and displays, is expanding this fall with a second location in Los Angeles, California. LA is one of the hottest markets for out-of-home experiential media and the creative agencies that make it all happen. Illumivation’s work has won the company four Obie Awards over the past two years; including gold, silver, and bronze in last year’s ceremony.

Though their work has been featured all across the U.S., a majority of their most extravagant projects have taken place in their hometown of Chicago. “Having a physical presence in a market like LA will allow us to produce innovative projects in western markets as efficiently as we do in Chicago,” says CEO and founder Mike Dunbar. This follows 6 years of growth for the ambitious company, whose ability to produce highly innovative projects on tight timelines has earned them a series of high-profile contracts over the years that they've been in operation. “We're only getting bigger and better, and with that success I want to see this company take even more risks in major markets across the country”, asserts the companies Senior Account Executive, Grayson Bagwell, while discussing the expansion of the studio’s physical footprint.

To complement this expansion, Illumivation has grown their creative and operations teams, and appointed Catherine Bentzen to lead the firm’s experiential design team.
